We all know that our industry has an issue with retaining great female creative talent, and it’s estimated that only 24% of creative directors globally are female.
This panel discussion aims to explore the intersection of generational and cultural norms and their impact on young female creative talent across Asia. As societies evolve and workplaces become more diverse, it is essential to understand the challenges and opportunities faced by young women in their professional journeys.
Moderated by Valerie Madon, Chief Creative Officer at McCann Worldgroup Asia Pacific, the session will feature three female creatives from McCann Worldgroup’s ‘Ambition Collective’, representing key markets from across the region.
The conversation will cover:

Siddhi Yadav Machado is a seasoned and accomplished Executive Creative Director at McCann Mumbai, with an impressive career spanning over 19 years, with 2 stints through the network exchanges at McCann Paris. Throughout her tenure, she has been a key force in building and revitalizing prominent brands, ensuring they remain relevant in a fast-evolving market.
Currently, Siddhi leads the Art Teams for the Mumbai office, overseeing prestigious brands such as L'Oréal Paris, Maybelline New York and Asian Paints. While also creating some memorable work in the past for World Gold Council, Coca-Cola and Pears Naturale.
Her career is marked by a commitment to creative excellence, earning numerous accolades along the way. Siddhi was honoured by the Ad Club of Bombay as Young Achiever 2009 in two categories—Design and Art. Additionally, her work has garnered prestigious awards, including a Gold at the London International Awards (2010), an In-Book entry at D&AD (2009), and 3 Silvers at ADFEST (2009).

Valerie's love for painting, since the age of five, has spawned a career of more than 20 years across brand-building and integrated creative solutions for major brands such as Zespri, Caltex, Hewlett-Packard, Procter & Gamble, Singapore Airlines, HSBC, Burger King, VISA, Singapore Tourism Board, Changi Airport, Central Provident Fund, Shell, GSK, Cycle & Carriage, Friesland Campina and many others.
Known as one of APAC’s top creatives, she joined McCann Worldgroup as Chief Creative Officer, Southeast Asia, in May 2023 and expanded her remit to cover Asia Pacific in August 2023.
Previously the Director of Creative Shop, SEA & Emerging Markets at Meta, Valerie is responsible for creative product across the region, as the network continues in its mission to be the irrefutable leader in the business of creativity. She also Chairs
McCann Worldgroup’s APAC Creative Leadership Community.
Valerie has judged and been awarded at all major shows including Cannes Lions, D&AD, One Show, New York Festival, Effies, Spikes Asia and ADFEST.
In her spare time, Valerie flexes her creative muscles crafting ceramics or churning her own homemade ice-cream!
