FESTIVAL : ADFEST CHAIRMAN, VINIT SURAPHONGCHAI: INSIDE ADVERTISING AT ADFEST

In 1994, Vinit Suraphongchai
was a member of the TV jury at Cannes, as was Jimmy Lam, ex-President of
ADFEST. Over many lunches and dinners an idea of an Asia Pacific Advertising
Festival was formed. From the outset, ADFEST’s modus operandi was clear - to
raise the profile of Asian creativity, while celebrating the unique cultures
that shape advertising across the region.
Vinit, now Chairman of ADFEST, has spent the last
three days as the gracious and omnipresent host of APAC’s leading awards
programme and festival. His prodigious industry knowledge, disarming honesty
and mischievous smile are its backbone.
