The Young Lotus Workshop 2024 is a two-and-a-half-day workshop designed to fast-track the careers of up-and-coming young creative teams across the region. It is one of the industry’s longest-running mentoring programs, providing the next generation of advertising leaders with valuable hands-on, practical experience since 2004.
The Young Lotus Workshop brief this year, Dear Advertising You Used to be Funny, was given by host, Ogilvy, challenging up-and-coming creatives to conquer humour in advertising.
The brief looks at the decline of advertising humour across the industry due to the deteriorating economic and social issues occurring globally. Its goal is to empower future creatives to be confident and proficient in tackling humour, one of the most difficult genres to conquer elegantly, but one that engages and entertains, a key imperative in an era of elusive audiences for advertising.
The program is open to advertising professionals aged 30 and under, with teams selected by local representatives in markets across the region.
