FESTIVAL : COLLIDE AT ADFEST: A WORKSHOP ABOUT MASTERING THE MOST CRITICAL CREATIVE TOOL IN THE INDUSTRY
Collide. Embracing Conflict to
Boost Creativity. is the workshop at ADFEST with the power to
revolutionise attendees’ creativity. Led by Guan Hin Tay, Creative Chairman of
BBDO Singapore, it is all about the power of conflict to birth new ideas that
create new realities, he says. Throughout history, creative conflict has been
the most critical tool for innovation, discovery and invention.
The workshop is built from
Guan Hin Tay’s newly launched book by Penguin, Collide: Embracing Conflict
to Boost Creativity, the book that became one of Amazon's best-selling in
less than 24 hours. It intends to provide a practical framework for generating
ideas, demystifying the creative process.
Collide. Embracing Conflict to
Boost Creativity. will be held on Friday, 22 March at
10.00-13.00. Pre-registration is required and seats are limited.
Guan Hin Tay’s view on creativity is provocative. He advocates that
conflict is inevitable and essential for true advancement and collaboration. It
is not an obstacle but a powerful creative catalyst. By embracing
conflict, you can generate transformative ideas even under pressure and turn
challenges into creative opportunities.
“The collision of diverse
ideas often generates award-winning innovations, as blending unrelated concepts
can unlock powerful and unexpected solutions,” Guan Hin Tay notes.
Guan Hin Tay’s own creativity
has been a game-changer at global networks such as Saatchi & Saatchi,
Wunderman Thompson, Grey, and Leo Burnett. Through digital engagement, his
expertise in fostering brand preference for blue-chip clients, including Visa,
AIA, Audi, Shell, Johnson & Johnson, Abbott, P&G, HSBC, and Unilever,
has increased market share and successfully navigated complex business
challenges. This has led to over 300 creative awards. He etched a mark in
history by becoming the first Singaporean to preside over juries at ADFEST,
D&AD London, Cannes Lions and the APAC Effies.
Pre-registration is required and applicants
for the workshop must be registered delegates of ADFEST 2024. Seats are limited
so reserve your spot here.
