INTRODUCING OUR GRAND JURY PRESIDENT, MARK TUTSSEL
Earlier this week, we announced that one of the world’s most respected creative thinkers, Mark Tutssel, has accepted our invitation to join ADFEST 2019 as Grand Jury President.
 

Based in Chicago, Tutssel leads Leo Burnett globally as its Executive Chairman and Global Chief Creative Officer. At ADFEST, he will lead the Branded Entertainment Lotus, Effective Lotus & Integrated Lotus panel as Jury President, and head the INNOVA Lotus and Lotus Roots panel as Grand Jury President.
 

He is responsible for setting the company’s vision and overseeing the creative output for some of the world’s iconic brands. In 2012, he famously introduced “Creativity Without Borders” – a game-changing vision for Leo Burnett that taps into creative talent from around the world to tackle global briefs from brands like Samsung and Coca-Cola.
 

“When a group of creative people with radically different life stories and perspectives come together, you tend to uncover insights that resonate with a global audience,” explained Tutssel to Campaign.
 

He said ‘Creativity Without Borders’ played a major role in the creation of #LikeAGirl.
 

P&G approached Leo Burnett with a powerful brief for Always, which wanted to change girls’ lives by championing their confidence.
 

“So we unleashed our world-class talent from London, Toronto and Chicago on this assignment. The idea was born in London and brought to life through the teamwork of Chicago and Toronto,” explains Tutssel.
 

With more than 90 million views on YouTube, #LikeAGirl shattered gender stereotypes and made waves around the world.
