Ogilvy x Dear Advertising, You Used To Be Funny.

Eighteen creative teams, representing eighteen cities will take part in this year’s Young Lotus Workshop, hosted by Ogilvy, under the theme, “Dear Advertising, you used to be funny.” 

Julia and Supparat will introduce you to the 5 Finalist teams who will present their works on stage in front of delegates at the Ogilvy Presents Young Lotus Workshop 2024: Ogilvy x Dear Advertising, you used to be funny session on Saturday 23 March at 11.50-13.00. Delegates will also get to cast their votes for their favourite team to determine Popular Vote winner.

Very few Chief Creative Officers have had the opportunity or experience of having worked across five continents; Originally from Australia Reed Collins has been based in Hong Kong for the last 9 years and is responsible for the creative output of all Ogilvy offices in APAC. Working with IKEA, KFC, Coca Cola, Mondelez, Vogue, Nestle, Fox Sports, Nintendo and Shiseido along the way.

Under his leadership, Ogilvy has earned Regional Network of the Year titles at both Effies and Cannes Lions the last 5 years. The first ever Cannes Lions Grand Prix for the nation of Pakistan. Named Creative Person of the year in 2017 by Campaign Magazine Asia and was the most awarded creative in the world back in 2001 for his Fox Sports campaign according to the Gunn Report. 

With over 33 Cannes Lions (2 x Grand Prix), 31 One Show pencils (Best of Show x SDG), 26 D&AD pencils (3 x Yellow) and many others under his belt so far. He is also pretty chuffed that some of this work features as part of the permanent collection at the MoMa NYC and recently serving as Jury President for Direct at Cannes Lions 2020/21.

A passionate creative with 16 years of distinguished career worldwide. She had graduated from ArtCenter, has lived, and worked in Taiwan, New Zealand, United States, Hong Kong and China. Her multi-cultural background and life experience gives her the insight into global diversity. Julia drives client revenue growth through authentic creative excellence and deep consumer understandings.

Her expertise ranges from holistic brand building to advertising. Julia’s advertising career started off at TBWA Media Arts Lab, the advertising agency chosen exclusively by Apple. She created impactful through-the-line-communication for them, and this global experience led her to Asia. Julia has a strong branding and advertising background through working for various reputable companies and firms both in China and the USA. She has also created campaigns and communications for some of the world’s most influential companies including Nike, McDonalds, Johnson & Johnson, Clinique and Huawei.
