This year’s Young Lotus workshop invites up-and-coming creative teams to step beyond traditional boundaries and craft solutions that truly matter. Led by Alice Chou and Hitoshi Hamaguchi, industry leaders shaping the future of advertising, the session will unlock transformative creativity - harnessing data, AI, and storytelling to forge new business opportunities, spark cultural change, and drive societal impact.

Participants will be challenged to embrace the chaos, celebrate diverse perspectives, and adopt bold, outlier thinking. From emotion-driven narratives to innovation-led strategies, the workshop will inspire attendees to reimagine creativity’s role in shaping brands and the world.

The journey culminates with the Young Lotus finalists presenting their groundbreaking ideas, with delegates voting for their favourite team in the Young Lotus Popular Vote. Be ready to collide, create, and redefine what’s possible.

Alice Chou has been described as a lion, a Sherpa, a boss who isn’t bossy—and even a prime number. A trailblazer in the advertising world, Alice was honored as a Leading Woman by Ad Age in 2023, named to Adweek’s Creative 100 in 2021, and twice recognized as Taiwan's Outstanding Creative Person (2017, 2021). She was also one of Campaign Asia-Pacific's "Women to Watch" in 2018.

Alice led the team that won Taiwan’s first Cannes Lions Grand Prix, along with Grand Prix honors at ADFEST, MADSTARS, and other major Asia-Pacific creative awards - setting a record for the most award wins in Taiwan's advertising history. Most recently she was named 2024 Greater China Creative Leader of the Year by Campaign.

A seasoned juror, Alice has judged Cannes Lions three times and made history as the first Taiwanese chair for categories like Entertainment at D&AD, Direct & Outdoor at Spikes Asia, and Brand Experience & Direct at ADFEST. Through her leadership and vision, she has elevated Taiwan’s creative profile while offering a distinctive Asian perspective on the global stage.

Hitoshi Hamaguchi joined dentsu in 1993, bringing extensive expertise across the entire client value chain. Starting as a media planner, he transitioned to account planning (eigyo) before rising to Managing Director in creative. In this role, he spearheaded innovative initiatives, including leading CDC, Dentsu’s first SWAT Integrated Creative Solution Unit, and dentsu zero, the company’s pioneering in-house creative boutique.

A champion of client-centricity and collaborative innovation, Hitoshi has been instrumental in driving dentsu’s global sustainability agenda as part of the leadership team for Dentsu Good, an initiative designed to integrate sustainability into business practices.

In March 2024, Hitoshi joined dentsu APAC and now operates from Singapore, where he continues to shape transformative strategies and foster creativity across the region.
