The central Japanese prefectures of Aichi, Gifu, and Mie are richly endowed with nature. However, the respective \"prefectural birds”—Oriental Scops Owl(Aichi), Rock Ptarmigan (Gifu), and Kentish Plover (Mie)—are all designated as endangered species. We recognized the urgent necessity of raising public awareness of this critical fact.Given that Japanese newspapers are delivered daily and often read by families, we designed the content to be enjoyable for all ages, including children unaccustomed to reading the paper. \r\n\r\nTo expand the experience beyond the page, we integrated an Augmented Reality (AR) app.\r\n\r\nWe created a seamless transition from \"paper-based birdwatching\" to \"AR smartphone experience and donation to the Wild Bird Society of Japan,\" which successfully spurred beneficial action. The entire project generated an educational impact and was adopted as teaching material by several local elementary schools.","is_link":false}],"files2":[{"name":"P08_001.mp4","type":"mp4"},{"name":"P08_001_DI01L.jpg","type":"jpg"}],"count":2}
